As the year comes to a close, we’re coming to the end of 2021 seasonal beer releases. This week sees the launch of Matinée Idol, our 5.5% stout. Named after Dirk Bogarde and the heartthrobs of the silver screen, Matinée Idol is one of our final releases of 2021.

Matinée Idol is a 5.5% Stout. Very drinkable and made up of a full-bodied, thick mouthfeel with hints of chocolate and roasted barley. Named after Dirk Bogarde and the faces of the silver screen, Matinée Idol is the perfect accompaniment for watching old films on a cold evening. This beer is dedicated to Mondo’s very own Matinée Idol, Jake. 

This year we have produced an incredible array of seasonal beers. From Schwarzbier to wheat beer, our seasonals have been received with excellent reviews – some even gaining critical acclaim! Sun King, our 6.6% IPA, recently won Silver at the International Brewing Awards 2021 in the Smallpack Ale (5.5% – 6.9%) category.

Our core range continues to do us proud, gaining recognition at multiple beer awards and, more importantly, impressing our customers. You can find Mondo beers in an incredible range of pubs and bottle shops across London not to mention further afield with some amazing stockists up and down the rest of the country.

To champion one of our core beers Little Victories, we’re launching the #LittleVictoriesBigWin campaign in and around London. Keep an eye out on our socials to find out which venues are taking part and you could be one of the “Big Winners” with just a couple of Little Victories.

2022 is already looking to be an exciting year for Mondo beers. In the new year, we’re going to see the return of some Mondo favourites. The beers you’ve loved in the past, elevated. Thank you to everyone who has drunk even just one of our beers this year – one more month and then we’ll be onwards and upwards into the New Year!
